Southbound I-5: Take Sunset Street Exit #255 and turn left onto Sunset Drive. Continue straight until you reach the third light. Turn right onto Woburn. Haggen’s will be on the left hand side at the second light. Turn left into the shopping center and the Gazebo is straight ahead.

Course is an out and back on the railroad trail (packed gravel), about a mile of road, and the scenic trails of Whatcom Falls park, no big hills (though this course is by no means flat). A successful marathoner will complete the course twice. There will be an aid station at the start, which you will come by several times, with Gatorade and water and some other snacks. You will be responsible for your aid other than that so plan accordingly. There are restrooms at the start (courtesy of Haggen’s and Starbucks) and there is a restroom in Whatcom Falls park that you will go by four times.

THIS RACE IS LIMITED TO 20 PEOPLE, PLEASE E-MAIL ME at bandg11@juno.com (be sure to put birthday marathon in the subject line) or phone me at (360) 647-5338, WITH YOUR INTENT TO PARTICIPATE. Half marathon runners are welcome too.

We will have birthday "goodie" bags and birthday cake for all finishers.
