What was the first race you ever ran? (Any distance) Lake Tahoe marathon

What was the first marathon you ever ran? What year did you run it? Did you have fun that day?
My first was in Lake Tahoe Sep 2009  and I had great time and birth of new Maniac runner

How long have you been a runner and why did you start running?
I started running at 17 years old in High school to lose weight to be able join US Marine corps and I never stop running since

Why did you decide to become a Maniac? Or what inspired you? Funny you ask
I was searching for another marathon to run, I accidently found your club,I was glad to know that I was not the only one who felt need to run more for just being happy to run. Not to be called crazy,nuts,fool.

Of all the races out there in this world, which one would you most like to run?
Long beach international marathon I had time of my life running was so fun.

If you could run a marathon / ultra accompanied by anyone either living or deceased, who would you choose and why?
Not sure I have to think hard about it, I think it would be my friend Sona she is fun to be around with. And she  introduce  me to marathon.

What was you most memorable marathon and why?
Lake Tahoe marathon and it was my first I would never forget it.

If someone asked you to pick a race for him or her that they could run a PR at, which race would you suggest? Long beach international marathon

What was the furthest you’ve ever traveled for a race?
For now it would be  Lake Tahoe.

Do any of your non-running friends or family members thing that you’re crazy for running as much as you do? What are some of their comments to you?
Yes all of them including my friend Sona who introduce me to marathon calls me nuts. why do I have need to run that much when  the Law men not chasing me.  I just laugh and move on.
If personal obligations or finances were not an issue, how many marathons would you run in one year? If I could it would be 52 marathons one a week that would be my goal.

From what race did you receive your favorite finishers medal?
 I have not run too many races yet. I have none for now.

Where do you keep your finisher medals?
Next to my deer antlers LOL

 Do you wear your race t-shirts? What do you do with the ones you don’t wear?  No I put them in a box  for now.

If you could put on a marathon anywhere in the world, where would you have it? Armenia

What is your favorite pre race meal? Post race meal?
Power bar pre and shish kebab Armenian style

What is your energy gel of choice? Sport drink of choice?
Gu raspberry and Gatorade

Which race would you never run again and why?
Not sure yet

What was the most challenging race or combination of races you’ve ever done and why?
Lake Tahoe  because it was my first  ever marathon and it had lots of hills though hills for beginners.

What is a typical training week like for you? How many miles do you run? Any cross training?
40  miles a week running and play ice hockey and for fun,roller skate,hiking.

Do you have a training partner? If so, who is it?Sona
I don’t really call her my training partner but I do love running with her.

What kind of shoes do you train in? Do you race in a different shoe?
Acics  and no I don’t

What are your short-term running goals?
None

What are your long-term running goals?
No goals I put on my running shoe and run to stay healthy.

Assuming you have time, what do you do for fun other than run marathons? I play Amateur ice hockey game and also referee USA Amature ice hockey games, I hunt with rifle and Archery.hiking,.

Who is your favorite Super Hero? Superman, Wonder Woman, Main Maniac (with cat on head), non Maniac Beauty?  My 3 grown children.
